Unexpected Romance

In the fall of 1993, in a Gottlieber restaurant, a charming, Swiss gentleman caught a California Restaurateur's attention and captured her heart. Twelve years later, native Californian Linda Lee Vögel realized her life-long dream and opened an all natural bakery and gourmet food shop.

As a food industry professional, and a mother of two, Linda realized that there was not only an increasing demand for authentic American desserts in Switzerland, but also for healthier desserts and whole foods for food lovers of all types. Drawing on her seventeen years of experience in the retail-foodservice industry, and her Degree in Nutrition and Food Science from the University of California, Berkeley, Linda opened Peace Foods in the fall of 2007.

Peace Foods for a Cause

Peace Foods supports a more peaceful world by donating a percentage of all sales to organizations that support peace. This year, we are working with Kiva.org in providing financing for microloans to entrepreneurs in developing countries. With person-to-person lending, we are helping to shatter the poverty penalty, and take part in creating a more peaceful world, one bite at a time.
